Addition to the Rules and Regulations, under the "Property" section:
"14. As of February 12, 2010, all detached outbuildings, garages, sheds or other such structures must be constructed according to the current LITC building requirements found in the LITC Declaration, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations. No detached structure, as described above, may exceed one story in height, nor have horizontal dimensions greater than thirty (30) feet on any side (2 1/2 car garage size). Exceptions to this regulation are subject to BOD approval through the current appeal procedure. Any secondary structure, as defined above, must be located on the same lot as the primary original homestead dwelling or, in the alternative, must be located on an adjacent lot that has been combined with the homestead lot."

Dry Fire Hydrant inststalled
at Lake in the Woods
On November 9th Greene-Dreher Fire Department Engineer Roger Altemier supervised the installation of a Dry Fire Hydrant at Lake in the Woods. Our association purchased the materials and Panther Trucking & Excavation performed the work at no cost to the community. The Dry Fire Hydrant will allow faster fire fighting response, particularly in the winter months when area lakes are fozen over. LITC East side residents should review their home owner's insurance policies to see if the new dry fire hydrant will lower their rates.
Our Greenspace Committee has established their Goals and Objectives. Click HERE to see how they plan to improve the quality of life here at Lake in the Clouds.
If you are interested in joining this wonderful group contact Mary Henzi, 676-4919

FALL/SPRING CULVERT CLEANOUT
All property owners are responsible for keeping drainage ditches
and culverts on or bordering your property cleaned out and free
of leaves and debris. When water cannot run freely it backs up
and erodes our roads increasing our community maintenance costs. PLEASE!
Once in the Fall after the leaves are down and once in the Spring
before the heavy rains - take the time to clean out all your drainage
areas.
LITCPOA Approval is REQUIRED for all new construction,
lot
improvements or alterations, grading, sewage system, water system,
fences, and tree removal or logging. A newly developed LITCPOA Approval
Certificate is to be posted wherever these changes are occuring. Anyone
noting such changes where the Approval Certificate is not clearly
displayed should call the LITCPOA Office or the LITCPOA Building Chairperson,
Ron Ferrara as soon as possible.
Click HERE for an application form to obtain an Approval Certificate.
The Pavilion is available for parties. Call the
office for details: 676-0900.

Library Corner
Anytime is a great time to sit
back and enjoy reading a good book. I hope everyone is taking advantage
of the variety
to be found in our clubhouse Library Corner.
Unfortunately space is limited.
We would be glad to recycle a few good books at a time if they are current
and in excellent condition, but PLEASE DO NOT drop off boxes of books at the
clubhouse.
Thank you, Sue Ferrara
